Carol Schram: Merry Christmas - Vancouver Canucks are NHL's stingiest team in Dec so far! The Vancouver Canucks hit the Christmas break with a record that's only slightly better than last season but some very positive trends in December, especially at the defensive end of the ice.

Merry Christmas Carol.

Always make time to read your blogs. Lots of detail today, as there is quite a bit going on in the hockey world.

Who do you think will win the WJC? USA is my guess

I think it's pretty wide open.

I'm probably most excited to see USA play. I thought Finland looked very strong against Team Canada and also has a very talented roster. I like the way Tim Hunter has been coaching the Canadians but I wonder if they're a little short on experience. The Czechs could be sneaky good. And for me, the Russians are a total wild card.

Stay tuned!

Feliz Navidad Carol and Everyone

Lots of good stuff in the blog as always.

I had noticed a few days ago Canucks goal differential has closed the gap from the beginning of the month until now.

I agree Canucks are making strides this year and makes me wonder where the team stands fully healthy. I think Canucks will make a significant move before the year is over .

Nice detailed blog ๐Ÿ‘

If the PK can sustain this & the PP become more consistent to even a lethal level our progress will trend up more than we might have imagined. Injuries withstanding this group is quietly settling in as a tough opponent. TG gets much of the credit but itโ€™s the players as a whole buying in that is impressive. With Hughes on the horizon we could be closer to turning the corner than we anticipated.

Itโ€™s my main belief D scoring is our biggest need to be a perennial PO team. Add in a little more punishment on the back end & we are well on our way. Projecting 2020-21 to be our time to make some serious noise.

Haven't been online much the past few days, so I'm not sure if this has been touched on, but i was reflecting on that recently.

I think it's impressive how Green appears to be getting such buy in from the team of late.
He has everyone firing throughout the lineup.

Besides the obvious Bo, Brock and Pettersson playing exceptionally, you have Goldobin playing well, JV is no longer viewed as a 'Bust' and having a career year.

Beagle and Granlund are killing it.
Eriksson and Roussel are right behind them, playing there role effectively.
Even Motte is noticeable out there on the forecheck.

Hutton and Guddy aren't getting the hate that they did last year and beyond.
Marky is no longer labelled a backup.

etc etc etc.

Green has the team playing as well as can be expected, and i think that's worth a hat tip.
I see a bright future ahead.

Thank you Carol for consistently producing professional work aimed at an audience that clearly doesn't deserve it, but truly appreciates it none-the-less. The respect for our blogger is a wonderful counter-balance to the nonsense that inevitably pervades the thread that follows each post.

As for the rest of you sons-of-female doges, thank you for the all laughs this past year. Can always count on you guys to come up with some of the funniest stuff ever.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

A great against the narrative blog on Christmas day. Wow, thanks Carol. A great Stalking Stuffer!

Canucks are not improving according to the usual suspects. Carol a pom pom waver? Or posting facts?

I wonder what Booner's narrative will be if the wheels fall off the bus in January, as they often do.
